It never stops amazing me how deeply things are connected—how lives, needs, and timing are all woven together in ways we don’t always notice at first.

Take this vehicle, for example. It had served its owner well, but it was time to move on. Instead of selling it, they chose to donate it so it could be given new life and bless someone else.

Around the same time, I had been in touch with someone who was struggling—their vehicle was on its last legs, and those legs were broken. As the repairs on this vehicle were nearing completion, I had a sense they might be the right person for it. Then another thought hit me: I think the donor might actually know them.

So I reached out.

Sure enough, they did know each other—and even more incredible, it had already been on the donor’s heart to find a way to help. The thread had already been woven long before any of us saw the full picture.

When we offered the vehicle, the response said everything—relief, gratitude, and that powerful sense of being seen and cared for. A reminder that God sees us right where we are, even in the middle of stress and uncertainty.

I love watching how this keeps happening. Vehicles are donated at just the right time. Needs arise at just the right moment. And somehow, the right people are connected so something meaningful can take place.

God is weaving something bigger than we can see—connecting people, provision, and purpose in ways that truly make a difference.

Thank you to everyone who continues to pray, encourage, and support this work. You are part of these stories too—you’re woven right into them.

Soon this young man will be getting married and moving away.

This will be one of the last vehicles we get to work on together—for a while.

It’s been a gift to spend these years side by side in the shop. I still remember Spencers 18th birthday… the shop wasn’t even finished yet, but he chose to spend it with me, working on a van that would later be given to a family in need.

Moments like this are bittersweet—watching your children grow, step out, and begin building lives of their own.

I know it won’t be the last time we turn wrenches together. And I’ll hold onto every one of those moments when they come.

Getting the next one ready… I continue to be amazed how God keeps providing vehicles for us to fix up and give away, and this one’s no different. Wheel bearing, ball joint, tie rod, sway bar links and tires.. getting close

Not a scam.

It’s funny — or maybe sad — how often people assume what we do at Luke 15 Automotive must be a scam. The old saying goes, “If it’s too good to be true, it must be.”

But then reality hits.

People see it’s not a scam at all. It’s simply a community coming together to share the love of Jesus in a practical way.

Last week, I was looking over a woman’s vehicle after she had already received a couple of quotes. We confirmed the extent of the repairs needed, and even with our discounts, the cost exceeded the value of the vehicle. To make matters worse, some of the parts weren’t even available.

That’s never an easy conversation to have.

As we talked through everything, she shared parts of her story. I was encouraged hearing where she is today compared to where she once was — a truly transformed life.

In that moment, I remembered something.

We had a vehicle recently donated. We had just finished repairing it. And we were in a position to give it to her.

The expression on her face — disbelief, gratitude, sincerity — is something I won’t forget.

Today, when she picked up the vehicle, she said, “I will never forget this.”

There’s more to the story. There always is.

But I want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supports this little ministry. Your generosity is making an eternal difference — one practical act of love at a time.

Generosity. This has to be one of the most generous, giving communities I have ever seen.

We continue to have vehicles donated, along with the funds and supplies needed to repair them, so that we can respond to a deep and very real need within our community.

Having a vehicle is something many of us don’t think twice about—we need one, and we have one. But having a safe and reliable vehicle is another level entirely. Many people own a vehicle, yet the reality of maintaining it and keeping it safe can be overwhelming. The mounting pressures of high rent, groceries, utilities, and clothing often leave people with little to nothing left. Vehicle repairs are pushed aside—not by choice, but out of necessity.

Every person we serve and interact with has a story—a deeply personal story of where they are and the help they may need.

Because of this community, we have been able to come alongside people in their moments of need, to help them, and to show them that they are seen, that they matter, and that they are loved.

I love how Jesus is using cars as a vehicle to convey His message—that He is searching for people and wants to meet them exactly where they are. I love how our community rallies behind this, providing even before the need is known. A car is donated, and then a family or individual is found.

I love seeing a community willing to step up and help in practical ways—to provide for those in need. Not just noticing that someone is hungry, but feeding them. Not just seeing that someone needs a vehicle, but providing one.

This is the body of Christ in action—coming together to care for and uplift those in need.

Thank you!
