🚗 Join Our Team – We are looking for a well rounded, experienced person to join our team to support both the Techs and our Service Advisor/Receptionist at Apex Auto Center (Golden, BC) 🚗

*This is a support position for the techs, and walk ins/break downs, estimates, answering phone calls, but also for coverage in reception when our receptionist is away.*

💼 Job Title: Service Advisor/Shop Hand
Location: Golden, British Columbia
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible

🛠 What You’ll Do:
-Assess walk ins/break downs, or urgent phone calls for customers who have emergent needs or questions (mechanical knowledge required)
-Provide accurate estimates, explain repair details, and gain customer approvals
-Greet customers - when needed, and assess their service needs with professionalism and empathy
-Schedule appointments and coordinate vehicle intake when necessary
-Communicate clearly with technicians to determine service requirements
-Keep customers updated throughout the repair process
-Process payments and close work orders when necessary
-Maintain organized records and ensure customer satisfaction

👤 Who You Are:
Ideally someone with previous mechanical experience. Maybe you’re an Automotive Tech that doesn’t want to wrench anymore, and you are efficient on the computer.
Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a customer-facing automotive role (preferred), or Automotive Technician
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
A team player with a positive attitude
Familiarity with shop management software (Protractor, Mitchell ProDemand, NAPA Prolink, Lordco Nexpart) is an asset
Valid driver’s license required

Red Seal Certification (preferred) or working towards certification
3+ years of shop experience as an automotive technician
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
A good attitude and a passion for quality workmanship
Valid driver’s license (required)
Experience with diagnostic tools and scan equipment
Attention to detail and a strong work ethic, with an ability to work independently

🚗 Important Update 🚗

It’s tire season! What does that mean?

It means that thanks to the incredible support from our amazing customers, our shop is currently booking about 4-6 weeks out for large repairs, and nearly 3 weeks out for oil changes and tire change overs.

At this time, we are doing our best to serve our current clientele first, and are unable to provide estimates for new customers or for vehicles that have not been diagnosed by one of our own techs at Apex Auto.

We want to ensure we continue delivering the top-quality service and personal attention that our existing customers deserve.
