‼️ PSA: Driving on Closed Roads is ILLEGAL!

South Bruce OPP charge bus driver twice for driving on closed highway.

Last night around 10:30, a member of A platoon stopped a coach bus for driving (and getting stuck) on Highway 21 when closed due to severe weather conditions impacting safe travel. The driver was charged for driving on closed highway.

This morning around 7:30, police received calls from concerned bus passengers as the driver was once again travelling on Highway 21, which is still closed due to unsafe travel conditions. Police located the bus in Tiverton and once again charged the driver for driving on closed highway.

When you take tires home in plastic tire bags please remove the bags when they get to the location . The bags are just to keep your vehicle clean to transport them but if you leave tires inside the bags for 6 months and they were not completely dry you have a chance of a little green house effect growing mold or slime inside or rusting out the rims from the tires water droplets trapped inside

Every night I head out in highway 21 north of Goderich and every night I see people traveling without any tail lights on ,
Please everyone make sure you have turned on your headlights or you do not always have taillights which is super dangerous

🟠Orange -uncommon to be used, impacts to be “major, widespread and/or may last a few days,” likely to cause “significant damage, disruption or health impacts”
🟡Yellow – most common of alerts to be used, impacts to be “moderate, localized and/or short-term,” advises hazardous weather “may cause damage, disruption, or health impacts”

Two years ago today, this sweet little girl was getting a tractor ride with her Dad. Her last. You see, just a few short weeks after her Dad took this picture, a person on a cell phone hit him while he was driving a tractor pulling equipment. He was thrown from the tractor and killed. He didn't die instantly; he suffered.

Today is a beautiful day, and the farming season has begun. People are getting back onto the roads too. Please pay attention. Put your phone down. There isn't a single thing on your phone that is worth murdering over.

When you see a tractor on the road, say a prayer that they make it home safe. Their family wants nothing more.

If you are in a vehicle with someone else on the phone, call them out. Offer to type in the address for GPS, make the call, or send the text. Or better yet, just wait. Nothing is really that important.
