Story time...
Warning came on the dash that the windsheild wash was low. So, yesterday I went out to fill it up, popped the hood and found a nice surprise.... "something" decided to store a lunch of chicken bones and such up by the battery box.
I have yet to see a Sasquatch or anything of the sort crawling up under the car, so I'm guessing a rat or mouse, even though I have not seen them around lately...either way "Not Good".
Rats and mice are incontinent meaning they have no bladder control. So as they run along they leave little p*e trails. These p*e trails are like GPS Trails back and forth to where they travel.
That leads us to the next part.
Almost all vehicle manufacturers started using soy-based wiring in around 2000. Rodents in around 2000 started to watch their weight and decided soy was a good option (joke), but they do like soy!!! Hence why many vehicle owners are having problems with rodents eating the wires on their vehicles.
My thought pattern is if you open your hood to signs of a rodent, remove that little p*e trail, lunch or home from your vehicle as soon as possible. A engine bay detail is a pretty good option in my opinion.
Here is a typical engine bay detail done this evening. No more p*e trail!!! Fingers crossed that this works....
