Sorry to be late posting this but most of you know tomorrow, Thursday, Dec.18th, is Food Security Box day at the Lions center from 4 to 5:30. Available to anyone on Fogo Island who is facing financial difficulty buying food.
As usually it is 'First Come First Serve' and doors will open at 4:00.

If you can't come and are getting someone to pick up for you you must contact Dawn on messenger or call 709-235-1948 to say who is picking up for you.

👇FOOD SECURITY PROGRAM STARTS THIS THURSDAY!

Food insecurity is a fact in the lives of people all over the world.

Fogo Island Food Security Program, in partnership with Brimstone Head Lions Club and Fogo Island Pride, will start our winter food box program on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 27th at the Lion’s Club building in Fogo, pick up time is from 4:00 to 5:30.

🫀🫀Please note that our door will only open at 4pm.

This program helped many people last year and is open to any resident of Fogo Island having difficulty buying food due to financial hardship and is First Come, First Serve. If you need a little help please come and get a box. We value your privacy and all names are kept confidential. Please phone for more information if you could use our help. This program is here to help!

Being a 'first come, first serve' program, people will only be able to pick up one box per household. If you are unable to get out and absolutely require someone to pick up your box, you must call Dawn at 235-1948 by 2:00 Thursday and leave a message regarding who will collect for you.

This is the last box until December. Please bring a shopping bag with you.
