McRae’s Auto Electric is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Front Counter Sales / Parts Person to join our Cranbrook team.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in parts sales, front counter service, or inside sales within the automotive, heavy-duty, industrial, or equipment sectors.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist customers in sourcing electrical parts for automotive, heavy-duty, industrial, agricultural, and mining applications.
• Use software systems and catalogs to identify components and ensure customers receive the correct parts.
• Provide professional customer service by phone, email, and in person, while recommending solutions based on customer needs.
• Process warranties and assist with warranty claims.
• Perform hands-on tasks including battery installations, basic electrical diagnostics, and minor component repairs.
• Receive, organize, and stock inventory while maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.
• Complete local deliveries and assist with general shop and warehouse operations as required.
Qualifications
• Previous sales or customer service experience.
• Parts experience preferred, ideally in automotive, heavy-duty, industrial, agriculture, or mechanical industries.
• Strong computer and organizational skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract.
• Ability to lift 50lbs above shoulder height and or lift heavy objects weighing 70lbs or more.
• Ability to work with light hand tools or with small cabling or wiring in confined areas.
