Behind The Wheel This Xmas or New Years? Save Our Number Just In Case! (780)725-0384

They say there’s nothing like Christmas, and they’re right.

The lights. The snow. The food.

And, of course, quality time with those we love.
But with Christmas comes chaos. Like traffic and dangerous winter weather.

And for the heroic truckers who keep trucking during the Christmas and New Years holidays... there are bound to be plenty of unexpected challenges to overcome.

That’s why our team at Piston Pete Mechanical has volunteered to be one of the only roadside assistance trucks on-call 24 hours a day this festive season.

So if you’re trucking around Edson, Hinton, Whitecourt, Niton Junction, or somewhere nearby and find yourself in need of a Christmas miracle...

Give us a call at +1-780-725-0384 – and we’ll have our friendly roadside assistance Journeyman dispatched to your location faster than you can finish that 2nd cup of coffee!

⚠️DON’T LOSE YOUR GRIP THIS WET SEASON!

If you’ve ever driven in the wet, chances are you’ve hit a puddle that was a little deeper than you thought…

And felt that terrifying feeling of weightlessness and the momentary absence of control that followed.

It’s an experience guaranteed to snap you out of your daze and get your blood pumping… one you don’t want to repeat.

With Edson’s wet season fast approaching, we thought we’d make a ‘public safety announcement’ and give you some tips you can use to avoid the dreaded hydroplane.

🚙 Ensure your tires are properly inflated.
🚙 Check your tread for dangerous wear.
🚙 Slow down and avoid puddles if you can.
🚙 Keep your wheel straight when entering water.
🚙 Avoid breaking & decelerate instead.

While hydroplaning is scary, it’s easy to avoid & control if you know what you’re doing… so make sure you follow these tips next time you drive & stay safe on those wet Alberta streets!
