Big update from Genuine Garage!
We’ve made the move to Edmonton and have been busy settling in, helping Albertans keep their cars running smooth, and working on a little project of our own.
Meet our 1974 Toyota Hilux. When we first brought it home, it was rough. Rust spots everywhere, dents, paint barely hanging on. But underneath it all was a solid frame, low mileage, and an engine that still had plenty of life left.
Over the last few months, between full-time jobs and a lot of late nights, weekends, we:
- Stripped it down to the frame
- Fixed the rust and body
- Swapped out old parts
- Sanded and repainted everything
Now she’s back on the road and running like a dream.
We’re pretty proud of how far this old truck has come. Proof that with a bit of patience, some grit, and a whole lot of love for the work, anything can be brought back to life 😌
