Today’s episode of “How did that get in there?” 🔍

This Audi Q5 was losing all oil pressure after the engine warmed up. After dropping the oil pan, we discovered a piece of silicone hose inside the engine.

It appeared to be the type of hose commonly used to extract oil during an oil change. Our best guess is that a section was accidentally left behind during a previous service.

That small piece of hose could obstruct the oil pickup, reduce oil pressure, and potentially turn a routine oil change into an engine replacement.

Sometimes, the simplest jobs can cause the biggest problems. 😬
