Fabricated some armrest mounts for a customers Suzuki M109R. The rider has small children he wants to take for rides but wanted some arm rests for a bit of added security. Nothing available from any manufacturers; so I fabricated up this little set up. In the middle of making another set for his Shadow as well!

Today at Fueld we've got some inverted chrome front forks from Spyke manufacturing. These were made in the early 2000's and stopped being produced almost immediately. They are similar in that sense to many others. All of these small batch front ends have their own set of issues. This particular fellow has never been apart in 20 years and as such has a great deal of corrosion trapped between the fine threaded portions that assemble the forks. Will and patience we persevere... ride safe everybody

With the snow flying it's that time. Winter work season. Quiet days mean focused minds as we dig into the big projects. This 1983 Goldwing needs alot of love. Carbs, timing belts, leaking coolant system, fork seals, wheel bearings, brake caliper/master cylinder replacements/rebuilds, fuel tank replacement, electrical repair, tires and a host of other repairs I'm sure I will discover. Big jobs take up time and space. No better time than the winter. Thinking of an overhaul nows the time to get booked in with slots booking up fast.

Often I get stuff no one else wants. But sometimes those can be the most interesting, maybe not the most rewarding. Old Hondas appear to be in my wheelhouse as I do MANY.

Here is a goldwing same age as me (1983) that hasn't ran in 18 years. Took the fairing and the tank and the carbs off already. She needed a bath pretty bad as well as it was caked in dust.
Ready to rebuild. If you've ever had to do a set of these carbs, you know it can be a bit time consuming, especially with rotted old fuel... here's to the old girls.
