Meet Scottie, one of our tow truck operators at Cliffs! 🚛🔥If you’ve ever seen a tow truck flying by with AC/DC blasting… it was probably him. He’s tackled fire trucks, cranes, and everything in between - and still says helping people is the best part of this job.
Q: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone who just started out towing?
A: Take all the advice you can from senior drivers or anyone who’s helping you out. Take their advice in – it’ll help you succeed, move forward faster, and do it safer.
Q: What’s the most memorable or unusual tow you’ve done?
A: Fire trucks, cranes… those kinds of big, different jobs definitely stand out.
Q: What song gets you pumped for a long shift?
A: How Do You Like Me Now by Toby Keith, or honestly anything by AC/DC – just something that gets you going.
Q: What’s your favourite part of being a tow truck operator?
A: Helping people, making sure customers are happy, and succeeding in a career that I actually enjoy doing.
Q: What do you do to unwind after a long day?
A: Go home, sit on the couch, hang out with my girlfriend and my family.
Q: What’s your dream vacation spot?
A: Italy or Greece, for sure.
