Starting April 1, drivers who are part of the Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) program won’t have to complete an advanced road test to obtain a full Class 5 or Class 6 driver’s licence.⁣
⁣
GDL drivers must be suspension and demerit free for the last 12 months to exit the GDL program. ⁣
⁣
Starting June 25, letters will be sent to drivers who are eligible to exit the GDL program to let them know they have been automatically exited from the GDL program.⁣
⁣
If you have an urgent need to exit the GDL program like needing a non-GDL licence for a job, and are eligible based on the GDL exit criteria, you can go to your local registry office to do so.⁣
