As the lead mechanic at our South Edmonton location, this means you will be installing everything from superchargers and turbo upgrades to full engine swaps, lift kits, wheels, tires, and everything in between.

What you’ll work on
You’ll perform automotive repairs and install a wide range of aftermarket and performance upgrades, including:
Diesel performance parts
Bolt-on performance upgrades
12-volt lighting upgrades
Suspension lift and lowering kits
Exhaust systems
Gas engine performance components
Carburetor-to-EFI conversions and fuel system plumbing
Wheels and tires
Oil changes
Engine and transmission swaps
Turbo upgrades
Supercharger installations
Performance tuning

Now here is something REALLY SPECIAL 👀
Here at JB's, we see a lot of trucks, and many of them are special, unique, rare, and valuable.

And not just any Shelby Raptor R, but Production #001.
That's exactly what rolled into JB's South Edmonton recently, looking for the BEST security and protection for this customer's very rare and very special truck.
So, we did what we do every day - offer the best product available, with professional sales and installation, giving our customer the peace of mind they want when protecting their investments.
Our installer Curtis got to work installing the Autowatch Ghost-II - the most advanced security immobilizer system on the market. This truck is now protected by a unique, customizable sequence of actions to start the car, making it virtually impossible for thieves to bypass, even with the keys in hand.

🤝 FRIENDS, TRUCKS, AND A SERIOUS LIFT 🤝

Big thanks to Aaron from .syndicate — one of our longtime customers, a great friend, and the crew behind the best detail shop in Edmonton — for bringing this 2015 GMC Denali 2500 diesel down to JB's Power Centre South Edmonton.

We went with a BDS 6.5" lift kit to give this Denali the stance it deserved.

While we had it in the shop, we took the opportunity to replace the lower control arms, upgrade the upper control arms to Cognito units with new hubs and rotors, and swap in PPE forged tie rods for extra strength and durability under the new geometry. To finish it off, we added a set of Trigger Industries mudflaps, custom powder-coated white with the DENALI badge to match.

The result is a Denali that's lifted, upgraded, and built to last.

🎉 FLEET REFRESH: 2006 FORD SUPER DUTY LIMO VAN 🎉

is growing their fleet, and they brought this freshly purchased 2006 Ford Super Duty limo van to JB's Power Centre South Edmonton for a full audio and tech overhaul. It once had a serious sound system — but by the time it got to us, nothing worked. So we got to work bringing it back to life.

Out came the old amplifiers, subs, and tired wiring. In their place: a single Orion XTR 1500.5, 5-channel amplifier replacing what used to take 6 amps to do — powering the existing JVC 6.5" speakers and 2 Diamond Audio DESMB10 pre-fab ported subs mounted under the seats. We also cleaned up all the old wiring and freshened up the component board with new carpet — a much cleaner install with way more punch. Check out the before and after.

The entertainment system got the same treatment. The old 42" rear projection TV and faulty inverter were replaced with a new 42" smart TV, custom-welded and painted mounting brackets, and a Go Power 400-watt inverter to run it all reliably. To keep that smart TV smart on the road, we topped it off with a Starlink dish mounted to the roof — so guests get Wi-Fi anywhere the party goes. Tied into the upgraded audio system, movies and games now sound as good as they look.

This 2006 limo is refreshed, reliable, and ready to host events for years to come. Thanks to for the business; we hope you and your guests enjoy the new system!

🚗🔊 Vintage style, modern sound!

Our JBs Power Centre West Edmonton team just wrapped up an incredible audio upgrade for Heidi’s beautiful 1972 VW Beetle Bug. Warren coordinated the project, and Tom worked his magic on the install.

✨ What we did:

Integrated a Kenwood KMM-X705 Single-DIN into the original dash for a seamless, factory-like look.

Built a custom lined rear deck to house four 6.5" Kenwood Performance Series speakers (KFC-1696PS), delivering crisp highs and deep lows.

Heidi was absolutely thrilled with the performance and the clean installation, and she even said our customer service was amazing – thanks, Heidi! 🙌
