I just received WONDERFUL news.

As many of you know, I grew up in Jamaica. I've just heard from Crisus Response that at least 1 of my friends is "Marked Safe"

The devastation was widespread and unprecedented. It knocked out almost all of the Power Grid, most of the Cell Phone towers, etc, so communication is virtually impossible.

Thankfully, my friend is a Senator, and gas the Government "back up" systems (satellite internet, generators, etc) at his disposal.

I'm waiting impatiently to hear news.

Our Story

It all started with an idea. A Concept . . . Perhaps a Belief. . . Maybe even a Dream. Created out of boredom after retirement, and driven by passion, the idea was implemented into a reality. Starting in a modest, 600 ft2, podunk location, with zero market research, zero "history" (and therefore zero local friends and associates) business somehow started. It evolved organically . . . as one client left - another arrived. Very quickly, it was abundantly clear that it was "time to go". Go . . . To a larger facility Go . . . To a more appropriate location Go . . . To a "diamond in the rough", that had all the potential to fulfill the dream. Go . . . To a place that would be the final iteration. Now - this isn't without risk. Taking on a facility TEN times the size, 5 times the cost, and adding on enormous overhead, wasn't to be taken lightly. Starting with a shoestring budget, the leap was taken. Hundreds of questions buzzed in my mind, like a relentless swarm of bees. Is there enough business? Is there enough money? How will it work? Where will the owner live? (A house, AND a commercial shop was well beyond the means of this new immigrant) Throwing myself into the deep end, I took the plunge. 4 months later . . . The idea has become a reality. The million dollar building has been contracted for. The employees have been hired and trained. The shop has been equipped. And the customers came. Now . . . This isn't without the concerted effort of a few dedicated people, who "swept the path" for me along the way. AND, it's by no means self-sufficient yet. However all indications are that it will succeed, given enough time, and enough effort.
