A little about me...I imagine my road to Car Sales is not a typical path but here I am at 51 - working as a Sales Consultant!! I place a huge importance on getting to know my customers and their needs and do my very best to help them succeed in finding a vehicle they love and having a pleasant experience at the same time! My goal is to turn what so many customers tell me is a "Necessary Evil" into
something entirely different. I have spent the last 20 years volunteering and working in the non-profit sector internationally (Right to Play - South Sudan, Humana - St. Vincent), nationally (Katimavik, Canada World Youth) and for various community based organizations including the Cowichan Intercultural Society and the Cowichan Valley Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association. My former practice was based on a foundation of integrity, honesty, respect, trust and was relational and needs based in focus. I have been able to bring the same foundation to my new career and I have found that there is a place in this industry for "a nice guy"!! When asked if I miss working with, and helping people, I can honestly say "No" as I get to meet and help people everyday. I am so very lucky and grateful to have my best friend and partner in life alongside me on my new career path! Julie brings a wealth of experience from her successful career (also in the non-profit sector) such as: working with women in rural Kenya in micro-financing and small business development; managing/coordinating youth exchange programs with Canada World Youth; and most recently as a Program Coordinator with Big Brothers Big Sisters in the Cowichan Valley. Julie has just chosen to join forces with me and is heading up the PR/Customer Relations side of our business! We are also very lucky to have our son Gabe who has just turned 13 and is passionate about music production. Hopefully, Gabe can share some of his amazing mixes and music for our social media pages!! I think Julie has already posted a bit about the fourth member of our Team - Winston! We hit the rescue dog lottery last March when we were successful in our bid to adopt Winston. In a short time, he has become a part of the family and is a hit with colleagues and customers alike! Stay tuned for our weekly Where's Winston promotion - an opportunity to 'adopt a new or used vehicle', meet Winston and help local rescue organizations at the same time!
