As of 2024, Red Deer River Adventures will be packing in the paddles. Since our opening for the summer
of 2016, we have had the extreme pleasure of operating our adventure tourism business, which included
rentals of canoes and kayaks, tours out on the river, multi day canoe trips between Red Deer and
Dinosaur Provincial Park and shuttling. We met so many amazing people, ran an ever-diversifying kayak
club, and through rain and heat, served so many people that couldn’t get enough of the beautiful
badlands that Drumheller and area have to offer and explore.
It has honestly been difficult for me to get around to writing this to all of you reading this today, as we
made the decision to move my family up to Camrose for the pursuit of career and opportunity. Andy
wasn’t ready to close the doors either, but without someone to take the helm, it was just too much for
the two of us to continue without the whole team.
At this time, if there is anybody who is thinking that they would like to start a company like this (or is
already operating one), we would be more than happy to provide some of our remaining resources for a
price, and those individuals can contact us directly at [email protected] or by phone at
403-821-0229.
I would like to thank all of those who helped us over the years, starting out, growing, whether
volunteering time, information, or labour, as well as staff, both hired and volunteered. We would not
have succeeded as we did if not for those many who were a part of our journey. A special thanks to all of
our dedicated clients. It has been our pleasure to meet and work with you.
For those of you already in contact with Andy, who may want to continue with club, or for those who
may seek information for shuttling, canoeing, or general information about the badlands, please feel free
to continue to reach us for a time through the contact here, [email protected], and
through 403-821-0229. We do not have any more equipment for rent, but when time allows, we may still
be able to assist as best we can.
Thank you all again, for your support, business, and friendship.
Sincerely
Eric, Andy, Mike and the rest of us over the years at Red Deer River Adventures.
