🔧 A FULL 2 WEEKS OF FORDS & POWER STROKES 🔧

Safe to say it’s been a Ford-heavy couple of weeks at AES Mechanics and that’s just how we like it! 😎

We’ve had a little bit of everything through the doors lately a 6.7L Power Stroke no-start caused by a damaged flywheel, multiple 6.0L Power Strokes with no-start and hot no-start issues, a 6.4L Power Stroke no-start caused by a security issue with the keys, a 3.5L EcoBoost in for a leaking timing cover, and an EcoBoost Escape in for turbo issues.

It wasn’t all Fords either! We had a Freightliner no-start that we diagnosed down to a failed ECM, along with an International with a low-power concern that we found had 3 bad injectors. Installed 3 new injectors and got the power back!

The end of summer is here, and our crew has been putting in the work!

With Labour Day falling on Monday, we’ve decided to close the shop Friday, September 4th as well, giving the AES team a well-earned extra-long weekend to spend with family, relax, and enjoy the last bit of summer. ☀️

AES Mechanics will be CLOSED:
Friday, September 4th – Monday, September 7th

We’ll be back Tuesday, September 8th, refreshed and ready to get your vehicles, trucks and equipment back to work. 💪🔧

Another busy couple of weeks in the books at AES Mechanics! 🔧

After a well-deserved summer holiday, Johnny and Garrett hit the ground running and haven’t slowed down since.

We’ve tackled everything from strange electrical diagnostics, routine maintenance, brake repairs, Out of Province Inspections, and everything in between.

Johnny has been elbow-deep in engines, working on everything from 6.4L Power Strokes, 5.0L Coyotes, and 3.5L EcoBoosts. Garrett has been more waist-deep, tackling a cylinder head removal and Out of Province repairs on a classic motorhome.

One customer came in concerned that their cooling fan was staying on long after the truck was shut off. After diagnosing the concern, we found a leaking radiator that was 99.999% plugged with dirt, bugs, and debris. Safe to say we found the problem! 🤯 (Swipe through the photos to see for yourself.)

Every day is different around here, and that’s exactly what we love about this trade.

🇨🇦 August Long Weekend Closure 🇨🇦

⚠️ Planned Closure Notice – Tuesday, July 7 ⚠️

Due to a planned power outage scheduled by Fortis Alberta, AES Mechanics will be closing at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 7.

The outage is expected to run from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, making it impossible for us to safely continue operations.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. We will reopen Wednesday during our regular business hours.

🔧 WE’RE HIRING – APPRENTICE AUTOMOTIVE/DIESEL TECHNICIAN 🔧

Hi everyone, I’m Johnny Morrison, Shop Operations Manager and Lead Technician at AES Mechanic Services, and I’m looking to invest my time and knowledge into someone who wants to build a career in the automotive and diesel industry.

Whether you’re already an apprentice looking for more experience, or you’re fresh out of high school with a great attitude and a strong work ethic, I’d love to hear from you. I’m even open to giving the right summer student an opportunity to get their foot in the door.

This isn’t just about filling a position I’m looking for someone who wants to learn, work hard, ask questions, and become part of a team that’s building something great. I want someone who’s excited to grow alongside our shop as we continue to expand.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with:
