Traffic Fines Increasing March 13:

Starting March 13, 2026, traffic fines across Alberta will increase. These updates aim to improve road safety and encourage responsible driving.
Key changes include:

• Driving without a valid licence or registration: up to $421
• Careless driving/racing/stunting: up to $852
• Distracted driving: up to $390

Speeding fines are increasing, including:
• 30 km/h over: up to $324
• 40 km/h over: up to $560
• 50 km/h over: up to $744

• Construction zone speeding penalties up to $1200
• Seat belt and child restraint violations: up to $211

Please drive safely, slow down, and follow posted speed limits to help keep everyone on our roads safe.

Merry Christmas and best wishes from me and my crew here at Dv Towing.. We will still be 24/7 for any roadside services but response time will be delayed as we have limited staff on to give the crew some well needed down time for the holidays. Thank you to all our customers and services that have supported us over the years. I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Christmas and new years, and if you see emergency services on the side of the road please take 30 seconds of your time to slow down to 60 km/h and move over, cause 30 seconds of your time could save there life and we all want to go home safe to our families
