Today was fun! Big thanks to Paul Mendonca for coming out and turning wrenches. We shared the satisfaction of taking this Dart that sat for 15 untouched from idle and grungy to running and driving! First two pics are as I found it. Third shows the level of grunge. The last picture shows it's current state. New battery, fuel tank, carb, tires, fluids and replaced the trashed shifter. It's loud and drives fantastic. Hope to have it at Western Mopar Madness next weekend.

Been a while since I have given an update on what has become known as the "clown car". Upholstery and carbs done this weekend. All fluids in, need to bleed brakes and clutch. Once some dash wiring is finalized I should be able to kick it over and see what happens.

It's always nerve wracking connecting the battery for the first time, wish me luck.

No video update today bit here are some pictures. I love making old stuff new again! Crysty old Rear axle stripped down completely, blasted and painted and assembled with new seals, bearings, gaskets, orings and hardware. Back in the car you can also see the new fuel tank. Tomorrow brakes will go back together then on to the front.

Crazy Brits! Since this all new to me I'm having a laugh at the suspension. The rear uses half leaf springs with an upper control arm forming an interesting 4 link. Shocks on all 4 corners are lever arms not tube shocks. The front lever shocks double as upper control arms.

PS check out those 7" drums all around!

New project folks! I sort of accidentally boughta 1962 Aystin Healey Sprite at Auction. Solid little California car, all complete but has clearly sat a long time. I'm going to do my best to push through this one in a couple months. I'll try to post pictures a videos often. Please follow along, I'd like to know what you think.
