THE SHORT BUS: '67 GMC. Camperized, but in need of some restoration and renovation. The body is in nice shape with no rust or damage- would make a great project. Was running before I picked it up- the engine has since dry-seized, but should be easy to get turning over again.
I'd love to see $1200. for it, but would consider a REASONABLE in-person OFFER.

HOME ON THE RANGE: A time machine going back to an age where people sought adventure rather than watch it on a screen. This '61 GMC was camperized over 50 years ago and has travelled across The United States and Canada.

Throw in a mattress, install a propane bottle and hit the open road. Well, almost. It will need some work first; the 327 small block has dry-seized from a long hibernation. The mechanicals need to be checked out, but I doubt you will need a YouTube channel to do it. The mechanicals are pretty basic after all.

Anyway, I am asking $1200. for it, but NO REASONABLE OFFER WILL BE REFUSED! Give me a call @ 403-343-6377 for more information.

ROOTS: Following in my father's footsteps. His original tow truck, built by Red Deer Auto Body in 1953. I later found it in a bone-yard west of Eckville, still owned by the same family who bought it from my dad. The body and chassis were too far gone, so a replacement was found and a little historical license was taken. (A shortened up 2 ton, in case you missed it.) The original truck's grille guard wouldn't work in the larger truck's front end, so I found another tow truck feature to replace it: a 'push bumper'. The welder built fenders for the deck to cover the 20" dual rear wheels.

Still a ton of work to do: the plan is to replace the original 235 (or 216) with a late model (1962 261), and then get it ready for paint. Stay tuned..

SAY, WHAT YEAR IS THAT '53 CHEVY? Some purists of the "Advance Design' 1947-'55 Chevy trucks would be able to tell you exactly what year this truck is. When I was much younger, I lumped them all (except for the '54 &'55s) into the 1953 year. And frankly, I still don't get all that wound up about the subject.

BOTTOM LINE here is: I still have this truck and it is still FOR SALE. You may have noticed it down at the corner from my old location. Wanna have a look? Give me a call.

TEASER: My next post will be of my '48 TOW TRUCK, sort of an in-progress re-creation of my dad's original wrecker- complete with the original deck. Stay tuned.

OVER THE HILL CLASSIC TRUCKS and RV Sales!
My 'field of dreams' is now a memory. I still have a few remnants I need to sell. Namely, a few busses and a big-assed RV. (Low-mile big block Chevy on propane.) See my earlier posts.
Also available: 2 Squarebody 1-tons, and my '57 GMC projects.
My new 'sales lot' is a short-term rental, so NO REASONABLE OFFER WILL BE REFUSED. I want my trucks to go to good homes and not the scrap yard.

NEED a BIG-BLOCK crate engine? It comes with the crate it came in. Or, you could restore it; low miles on it BTW.
Then, there are a few project trucks, like this '79 Big Block Silverado Camper special.
I'll even let go of my '57 GMCs. (well, 2 of them). OR, how about some 'yard art'? '53ish Chevy 2-ton?

DE-ASSEMBLY: Hey! That's a word- kind of like De-life, you know.. It likely took a couple of $30. an hour guys 10 minutes to install this on the assembly line. Took a little longer under less than ideal conditions. Just the same.. '85 Astro van btw.
