Responsibilities

-Greet customers, respond to service inquiries in person, by phone and email.
-Maintain accurate records through our Protractor system
-Provide cost estimates for labor and parts
-Work closely with Mechanics to ensure customers remain up to date on their maintenance status
-Keep track of parts/ Inventory
-Create work orders and bill customers
-Experience with Protractor or similar considered an asset

Requirements

-Experience as a Service Advisor or similar position would be considered an asset
-Knowledge of Microsoft programs
-Ability to problem solve customers concerns
-Ability to work well individually and as a part of a team
-Ability to multitask and work in a fast- paced environment
-Valid class 5 drivers license with a clean drivers abstract

We are committed to safety, efficiency, and excellence in our operations. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Truck and Transport Mechanic to join our dedicated team in our Debert location.

Job Summary

As a Truck and Transport Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of trucks and transport vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that our customer’s vehicles are safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance, supporting our commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and transport vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
- Conduct thorough diagnostics using electronic testing equipment and hand tools to identify mechanical issues
- Overhaul and repair engines, differentials, and other critical components as needed
- Inspect vehicles for safety and compliance with industry regulations and standards
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance
- Collaborate with other mechanics and staff to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while working in the shop and on the road
- Perform roadside repairs as needed
- Take part in our weekly on-call schedule for after hours service

Qualifications

- Journeyperson Certification in Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or Truck and Transport Mechanic
- Proven experience as a truck and transport mechanic, with a strong understanding of vehicle systems and components
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred) with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Mitchell 1/ Protractor considered an asset
