Our OK Tire store in Bayers Lake donated $7000 to the Margaret’s House in Dartmouth, NS.
This donation was made possible by the Community Initiatives Award by OK Tire in Partnership with Bridgestone Tires that we received this year. 🙂 Due to Social Distancing we were not able to present the cheque in person so we collaborated pictures.
Margaret's House (F.O.O.D) is a charitable organization that provides free nutritious hot meals to adults in need in the Dartmouth area. Such a great organization that helps many people every day. Thank you for all your great work.

WE ARE OPEN. We provide an essential service to those that provide invaluable services on the front line. We will do our best to keep your vehicles working during these tough times. We make appointments for vehicles to be dropped off. You can drop your keys in the drop box and make payments over the phone. Our shuttle service and customer waiting area is not available.
Our number one priority at this time is the safety of our valued customers and teammates. We would like to assure you that we are taking all the appropriate measures at our location to ensure that we maintain the highest level of service that you’ve come to expect from us here at OK Tire.
Our techs wear neoprene and or latex gloves when entering your vehicle. Our policy is to disinfect any areas of the interior cabin of your vehicle that we come in contact with before returning the vehicle back to you.

ACTION PLAN TO KEEP EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS HEALTHY AND AVOID THE SPREAD OF COVID 19.
For the safety of all our customers and employees we would like to follow this action plan as recommended by our health and safety representative during the Covid 19 situation.
- Book all appointments and services by phone, text or email. Limiting personal contact.
- We would like customers to drop off their vehicle and organize a ride home. We will call once the vehicle is completed. For the safety of everyone, we are asking the customer not to stay in the waiting area while their vehicle is being serviced.
- To maintain social distancing, we will not be offering shuttle service. Sorry for any inconvenience.
- When customers enter the store to drop off keys please sanitize hands and keys, by using the provided hand sanitizer station.
- We are encouraging customers to pay over the phone using a credit card.
- If customers have any symptoms they are not permitted to enter the store.
-We recommend these measures to be followed but will try to accommodate the individual needs of customers where possible.

As the global situation develops regarding COVID-19 our priority is to the health and safety of our customers and employee's. Our employees will be monitored daily for symptoms and are educated and informed regarding handwashing and proper hygiene. Our staff will be wearing gloves while entering your vehicles and we are committed to sanitizing the common areas of our facility daily.
We plan to continue to service our customers as we always have. Our staff are here, ready to take your calls, schedule your appointments and look after your needs. However, we are currently asking that customers do not wait for services in the lobby. If possible, we encourage customers to find transportation home while your car is being serviced. To follow public health standards if you are sick or have symptoms please stay home to keep our employees and other customers safe.
Finally, we are committed to following the advice and direction of our public health officials. We feel fortunate to live in a city and province with world-class health care professionals. We admire their front-line work and will follow their direction to uphold our priority of looking after the safety of our staff and customers.
