𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨, 𝗧𝗢𝗪𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗧 𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗘! 👏

The 𝗖𝗿𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 would like to sincerely thank the Town of Fort Erie for their 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 and immediate action following the vandalism and defacing of Colonel Albert Storm Park.

I also want to personally acknowledge 𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝘁, 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀, whom I contacted by email regarding the situation. She was already on it and had plans in place when i reached her last night.

Despite it being well after hours, Kristina took the time to respond at approximately 𝟴:𝟯𝟬 𝗽.𝗺. that evening, within minutes of me reaching out to her. Her prompt response and attention to the matter were very much appreciated.

And then, 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, a contractor working on behalf of the Town was at the park to ensure the area and equipment were cleaned up.

We truly appreciate the Town taking this matter seriously and acting so quickly.

Our parks, memorials and public spaces should always be treated with the 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 — especially a place honouring someone who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

To the residents of Crystal Beach, Fort Erie and surrounding communities,

The Crystal Beach Waterfront Supper Market, it's organizers amd wonderful supporters are extremely disappointed and saddened by the recent vandalism and defacement of the park and memorial dedicated to 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺, 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆.

Corporal Storm was not simply a name on a memorial. He was a son, a brother, a father, a friend and a member of our community. He put his life on the line in service to Canada 𝗴𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗳𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻.

The memorial in Crystal Beach was created so that his sacrifice would never be forgotten. It is a place where children can play, families can gather, and members of our community can pause and remember the tremendous price that has been paid for the freedoms we enjoy.

To see a place dedicated to his memory defaced and vandalized is 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹—not only to Corporal Storm, but also to his family, his fellow service members and every Canadian who has made sacrifices in service to our country.

We understand that vandalism can happen anywhere, but this particular act of disrespect carries a much greater significance. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗴𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆.

As One who strongly utilises that park all summer long and respects the sacrifice , given and as a member of the Crystal Beach community, we believe we have a responsibility to speak out.

We strongly encourage anyone who witnesses this vandalism or suspicious activity at this memorial to report it to the appropriate authorities.

We also encourage parents, residents, businesses and community organizations to remind our young people about what this memorial represents and why it deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.

We hope the damage will be repaired quickly and that the community will come together to ensure that Corporal Albert Storm's memory continues to be honoured—not only through a memorial, but through the respect we show for the sacrifice he made.

Under the agreement, the Ridgeway-Crystal Beach Kin Club will assume full responsibility for the 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 of the Crystal Beach Waterfront Supper Market.

The transfer is the result of the 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗕𝗕𝗜𝗔 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘄𝗮𝘆-𝗖𝗿𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗞𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀, and a shared desire by both organizations to ensure the continued long-term success, growth and sustainability of the Supper Market.

The Ridgeway-Crystal Beach Kin Club brings a proven track record of 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 to its new role.

The Ridgeway-Crystal Beach Kin Club has demonstrated its ability to develop and manage successful community events, build relationships with vendors and entertainers, effectively promote events and deliver a quality experience for the community.

With full responsibility for the Supper Market, the Kin Club will be able to build upon the foundation established over the past several years by the Crystal Beach BIA, while exploring new opportunities to 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆.

While the Ridgeway-Crystal Beach Kin Club will assume full responsibility for the Supper Market, the positive relationship between the two organizations will continue, as the Kin Club remains committed to supporting the 𝗖𝗿𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗕𝗜𝗔'𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 that help enhance and strengthen the Crystal Beach community.

For the CBBIA, the transfer will allow the organization to place greater focus on the many other incredible events, initiatives, services and beautification projects it provides throughout the community.

Ridgeway-Crystal Beach Kin Club President Dan Strugar is proud to see their members giving back to the community with proceeds from the Crystal Beach Waterfront Supper Market bar sales so special!

Kin Club President Dan Strugar was pleased to present a 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 $𝟯,𝟯𝟰𝟬.𝟵𝟲 to Crystal Beach Business Improvement Area Treasurer Robin Bannerman and owner of the Crystal Ball Beach Cafe and Tom Lewis, Ward 5 Councillor.

💰 This donation represents a portion of the proceeds from the Crystal Beach Waterfront Supper Market and will support the BIA’s ongoing beautification efforts throughout Crystal Beach.

From the vendors and musicians to the volunteers, sponsors, visitors and everyone who came out to enjoy the Market — this is what happens when a community comes together! ❤️

RCB Kin Club dollin out the dough !

😂 🥅CHARITY OF THE WEEK — AND YES, SHE REALLY IS “THE BOSS”! 😂

The Ridgeway-Crystal Beach Kin Club was proud to present our Charity of the Week cheque to Meaghan Passero , aka “The Boss” of the Fort Erie Meteors! 👑

Normally, when President Dan shows up, there’s a pretty good chance he’s going to get himself into trouble with Meghan. But this time, Dan caught a break! 😂

Meghan was unfortunately under the weather and had lost her voice, which meant that — for the first time EVER — President Dan didn't get in trouble! 🤣

Of course, Dan should probably enjoy that moment while he can…

Because now that this post is public, he’ll probably be in trouble the next time he sees her! 😂😂
