Did you know? On April 1st 2006 the Provincial Government set the threshold for PST luxury tax to $55,000 for new vehicle purchases. Anything over this purchase amount was deemed to be a luxurious vehicle purchase and subject to an increased PST TAX rate from 7% up to -> 10%.

I’ve known Sarah since we were kids, as her brother is one of my closest friends!
She came to me after a disappointing experience at another Comox Valley dealership…
She was told she couldn’t test drive a vehicle + would be looking at 7.99% rates even on their NEW units (which would equate to an extra 20 grand for cost of borrowing🫤).

Entering my 20th year at the Ford dealership. Weird to think, that next FEB when I hit 20 years completed... I'll be 40 years of age. Half my life (started at age 20) spent working at the same dealership🤠
