This project was very special to me, and a pile of planning, measuring, and turning wrenches went into this build.
It is a 350 Chevy engine that was bored .030 over and had a new eagle rotating assembly with a longer stroke installed to bring this engine to 383 cu inches.
This engine left no bolt unturned, it came to us as a bare block and was built up from there. It has since been installed in the truck along with a heavy duty 4 speed transmission. I am so very grateful to have gotten to be part of this truck.

-2016 gmc 2500 6.6 duramax, this truck came in with a bottom end knock, after removing the engine and tearing it down we were able to determine it had the famous duramax cracked/broken crankshaft, luckily the customer shut it down early enough and upon inspection we found it didn’t harm any other bottom end parts. I believe the main cause of the broken crank is a faulty vibration damper. So this truck will be getting a complete bottom end with new crank, new bearings, a performance viscous type vibration damper to prevent future issues, along with several other upgrades while the engine is out.

We have been slacking on our page so I thought I’d share a few of the projects we’ve been working on recently!

-1981 C70 grain truck that originally had a 366 v8 gas engine, after that engine gave up we went ahead and installed a 5.9l Cummins in its place. A lot of work was involved with this swap as you can imagine, there isn’t a lot of readily available swap parts to put a Cummins into a grain truck, most of the parts (engine mount brackets, clutch linkage, throttle linkage etc) had to be fabricated from scratch. The transmission also got replaced, there is no adapter plate in production to attach the Cummins engine to the Chevy standard transmission, so a Eaton transmission was retrofitted into its place.
We are very happy with the way this swap turned out, the Cummins diesel will far outperform the original gas v8 engine.
