PART 2- HANDS ON!

TOW TRUCKS + 6TH GRADERS = ONE AWESOME AFTERNOON!

Herb’s Towing had the privilege of being invited to speak with the 6th grade class at TSI Snaighne Elementary School—and what a fun afternoon it was!

We brought one of our tow trucks right to the school and turned the classroom into a hands-on learning experience! The students got to see, ask questions, explore equipment, and learn what really goes on behind the scenes in the towing industry.

Our goal was simple: teach, inspire, and show the next generation just how many possibilities are out there. Maybe one day, one of these students will become a tow operator, mechanic, dispatcher, environmental responder, business owner—or find another career they never knew existed!

Written consent from the school as well as parent/guardian was provided for each student to be posted**

What a trip down south!

The crew headed to Alabama for the Extreme Recovery Workshop with Miller Industries and the Alabama Towing & Recovery Association, then over to Bayou Vista, Louisiana to pick up a fire truck.

The heat and humidity were definitely something else!

Of course, our light bar decided to fry while we were down there.
Luckily, we had met the guys from Bolin’s Towing in Poplarville, Mississippi at the course.

They told us to come on by, took us to the parts store, helped us get the tools to fix the light bar, and even charged up the A/C for the boys!

Big thanks to the guys at Bolin’s Towing for helping us out while we were a long way from home.

We appreciate you guys!

That’s what the towing family is all about!

Here’s what we tackled:

🔹 What exactly does a tow truck do?
🔹 How can a major accident affect the environment
and wildlife?
🔹 Where does math come into towing?
🔹 When might you need a tow truck?
🔹 What tools can you find inside a tow operator’s truck?
🔹 How do we safely tow and secure a vehicle?
🔹 And, of course… we even got to tow their teacher’s car!

The students jumped right in with questions, ideas, and plenty of curiosity. Sometimes the best questions come from the youngest minds, and these students definitely kept us on our toes!

A huge thank-you to TSI Snaighne Elementary School for welcoming Herb’s Towing and giving us the opportunity to share a little bit of our world with the next generation.

What a great afternoon of learning, exploring, and discovering what towing is really all about! ❤️💛

September 11, 2001 — We Remember. 🇺🇸

Today, we remember the lives that were lost and honour the heroes who answered the call on one of the darkest days in history.

We remember the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, dispatchers, and countless ordinary people who showed extraordinary courage. They ran toward danger to help others, knowing the risks that surrounded them.

More than two decades later, their courage, sacrifice, and selflessness remain unforgettable.

From all of us at Herb’s Towing — we remember the lives lost, we honour the heroes, and we will never forget.

September 11, 2001.
Forever remembered. Never forgotten. ❤️🤍

🎉 Celebrating 10 Years at Herbs Towing, 17 years in the industry! 🎉

Today, we’re proud to recognize one of our Heavy Duty Operators on an incredible milestone.

A decade of early mornings, late nights, long hours, tough recoveries, and countless miles on the road takes serious dedication and skill.
Sleep is no friend of Bills.

When it comes to putting an 80-ton rotator to work, he’s the guy you want behind the controls.
The kind of operator who can make a big machine look effortless and handle the toughest jobs like nobody’s business.

We’re incredibly grateful for the experience, dedication, and expertise he brings to our team every day.

Here’s to you Billy BOB.
Thank you for being such a PILLAR within the company.

Cheers!

🎉🎂 WE HAVE NOT ONE, BUT TWO BIRTHDAYS IN THE HOUSE TODAY! 🎂🎉

First up, we want to wish Shawn, our Operations Manager, a HUGE Happy Birthday! 🥳

The hours you put in and your drive for continuous growth within the company never go unnoticed. You’re always finding a way to make things happen — you’ve definitely got a few tricks up your sleeve! If you can’t figure it out, you figure it out! 😂
Especially when it comes to anything involving numbers and math… we’ll let you handle that one! 🤣

We hope you have an awesome birthday both in and out of the office today! You deserve it! 🎉

🎈 And secondly… HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PIERRE! 🎈

Our mechanic, our comedian, and the guy making sure all our trucks are road-ready! 🔧
When you’re not racing, you’re keeping the fleet running and the team laughing.
We’re pretty sure you’ve watched every movie known to mankind by now, too! 😂

From lane closures to freezing cold temperatures, you always help keep the team in good spirits — and we appreciate everything you do!

Happy Birthday, Shawn & Pierre! 🎉 We hope you both have an incredible day!
Here’s to another year around the sun!
