This lifted Duramax came in needing a new windshield, and it got the same care every vehicle gets here. We took the cowl off, cut the old glass out carefully, cleaned the frame down to a fresh surface and set the new windshield in exactly where it belongs.

This Teslaโ€™s door glass took a direct hit and stayed in one piece. Thatโ€™s laminated glass: two layers with a film in between, made to hold together.

Getting it out properly is a bigger job than it looks. The panel comes off, and every bit of glass gets vacuumed out of the inside of the door so nothing rattles later. Then the new glass is fed in and seated by hand. Care, not speed. Done right the first time.

Getting the old glass out is only step one. ๐Ÿงน

This Volkswagen came in with a shattered back glass. Back glass is tempered, so it crumbles into thousands of small cubes, and those cubes go everywhere: the cargo floor, the trim, every corner of the hatch.

So before any new glass goes near this car, here's what happens:

On this Mazda 3, the back glass has to be broken to come out. Back glass is tempered, so it's built to crumble into thousands of small cubes instead of sharp shards. That makes the break-out the quick part. Everything after it is where we slow down.

Someone tried to get into this car. They didn't.

This door glass is laminated, like a windshield: two layers of glass with a tough plastic layer in between. Hit it and it cracks, but it holds together. So they tried burning a hole through it instead. It still held, and they left with nothing.

The glass did its job. Now we do ours. The door panel comes off, the damaged glass comes out, every loose piece gets vacuumed from the door and cabin, the regulator gets checked, and the new laminated glass is seated by hand and tested before the panel goes back on. It's the same protection the car had from the factory.

We take our time because we want it done right the first time, so you never have to come back.
