This 2013 Chevrolet Corvette features a serious naturally aspirated LS7 build, starting with an SSP Forged 430ci engine and upgraded with a BTR Stage 2 V2 camshaft and cat-delete exhaust setup.

The legendary 7.0L LS7 originally produced 505 hp and 470 lb-ft in the C6 Z06, but this build takes that formula further with increased displacement and forged internals. The BTR Stage 2 V2 camshaft is designed to deliver stronger power and torque throughout the rev range, with an emphasis on top-end performance.

With the additional displacement, aggressive camshaft and freer-flowing exhaust, this Corvette is a great example of how much performance can be extracted from a naturally aspirated LS7 without forced induction.

This Honda Civic EG combines one of Honda's legendary lightweight chassis with the high-revving performance of a K20A2 engine. Originally found in the Acura RSX Type-S, the 2.0L K20A2 produces around 200 hp in factory form, but its strong aftermarket and naturally aspirated potential make it a popular choice for engine-swapped Hondas.

With Hondata engine management controlling the K20A2, the ECU can be properly calibrated to suit the engine and its modifications. In a lightweight EG Civic, the result is a fantastic combination of modern K-series performance and classic Honda chassis dynamics.

This is exactly the sort of combination that makes a K-swapped Civic so entertaining — relatively small displacement, high RPM, VTEC and a lightweight chassis, all brought together on the dyno.

This 2021 Chevrolet Camaro takes the factory LT1 V8 to another level, featuring a built LT1 engine paired with a Texas Speed Blower Cam and a ProCharger supercharger. The combination of strengthened engine internals, a boost-focused camshaft and forced induction is designed to dramatically increase airflow and power potential.

With HP Tuners handling the ECU calibration, the entire combination can be dialled in to make the most of the upgraded hardware while maintaining the drivability and reliability expected from a properly tuned performance build.

This Camaro is a great example of how engine hardware, forced induction and professional ECU tuning all need to work together to unlock serious performance.

This 2014 Ram 1500 is hiding a serious HEMI build under the hood. The original 5.7L Eagle HEMI has been transformed into a 396 cubic-inch stroker, increasing displacement from the factory 345 cubic inches and giving the engine considerably more potential for torque and power.

The stroker is paired with an MMX Max Effort V2 performance camshaft, an 8-speed automatic transmission and a cat-back exhaust system. With the combination of increased displacement, upgraded valvetrain and improved exhaust flow, this is certainly not your average Ram 1500.

This 2023 Toyota GR Supra 3.0 brings a very different kind of performance to the dyno. Powered by a 3.0L turbocharged inline-six this Supra combines serious modern performance with something increasingly rare — a six-speed manual transmission.

For 2023, Toyota introduced its newly developed 6-speed Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT), specifically engineered around the Supra's high-torque straight-six. The result is a lightweight, rear-wheel-drive sports car designed as much around driver involvement as outright performance.

With revised suspension and steering, an active rear differential, 19-inch wheels and a turbocharged inline-six up front, this modern GR Supra is a very different proposition from the classic and heavily modified cars we've had on the dyno — but the performance credentials are every bit as interesting.

This 1968 Dodge Coronet combines classic Mopar styling with modern HEMI performance. Under the hood is an MMX 392 HEMI Hot Rod crate engine, upgraded with an MMX Max Effort V1 performance camshaft and an Edelbrock HEMI Victor 2 intake manifold.

The Max Effort cam is designed to increase power and torque over the factory 392 cam, while the Victor 2 intake is built to improve airflow and support higher-performance applications. Together, these upgrades give this classic Coronet a seriously modern performance edge.

Now it's heading onto the dyno to see exactly what this combination can produce — because with a build like this, the numbers should be interesting!

This Toyota MR2 SW20 is powered by a Gen 4 3S-GTE — a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with serious Toyota performance heritage.

The Gen 4 3S-GTE wasn't originally fitted to the SW20 from the factory; it was developed for the later Toyota Caldina GT-T. With features including a CT15B turbocharger and coil-on-plug ignition, the Gen 4 represented another evolution of Toyota's legendary 3S-GTE platform.

Dropping one into the lightweight, mid-engine MR2 creates a seriously interesting combination — combining Toyota's turbocharged performance technology with one of the company's most iconic sports-car chassis.

In this video, we put this Gen 4 3S-GTE-powered MR2 on the dyno to see what this combination can produce.

Ford Mustang GT — Forged 4.6L 3V / Saleen Supercharged

This Ford Mustang GT is far from stock, featuring a forged 4.6L 3V modular V8 built by Promar Precision Engine, paired with a Saleen supercharger and Comp Cams performance camshafts.

The 4.6L 3-valve V8 was introduced for the fifth-generation Mustang and became known for its variable camshaft timing and strong potential as a performance platform. Adding a forged engine and forced induction takes this Mustang into a very different league, with the Saleen supercharger providing the additional airflow needed to significantly increase power over the naturally aspirated configuration.

The Comp Cams upgrades are another important part of the combination, helping optimize the engine's valve timing and breathing characteristics for a high-performance, supercharged setup.

In this video, we get the Mustang onto the dyno to see what this combination can deliver. With a forged bottom end, positive-displacement supercharging and upgraded camshafts, there's plenty going on under the hood!

This Mitsubishi Eclipse is powered by the legendary 4G63T 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder, an engine that has earned a serious reputation among performance and tuning enthusiasts.

The 4G63T features a DOHC 16-valve design, factory turbocharging and intercooling, and a strong aftermarket that has made it one of the most popular Japanese performance engines to modify. Its reputation was further cemented by Mitsubishi's use of the 4G63T in the Lancer Evolution, giving the engine an impressive motorsport pedigree.

In this video, we put this turbocharged Eclipse on the dyno and take a closer look at what the 4G63T is capable of. With the right combination of turbo hardware, supporting modifications and precise engine management, these engines have enormous potential.

It's a great example of why the 4G63T remains such a beloved platform decades after the Eclipse first hit the road.
