This is the start of a real solid fiberglass deck.

The kind of deck you can bolt anything through and not worry about water damage.

It starts with four 3208 biaxial combos, then four more are added with two 1.5oz mat to complete. A solid 5/8" thick.
After it's installed on the boat, lifted in compete in one, sometimes two pieces, half round stiffeners are added for strength and fiberglassed in completely. After hatches are cut, 2 more mats are added then 3 layers of gelcoat and sand for traction.

Think that will last 50+ years? Absolutely. 👍🏽
