The Huron and Area Search and Rescue has partnered with the Alzheimer Society Huron Perth to host the Huron Polar Plunge. All funds raised stay local and help keep some of Huron County’s most vulnerable people safe.

I would like to thank all of you for your support. With your help I personally rose above my goals and so did the HASAR team as a whole!
A very successful new years day for all involved. There was a huge increase in participation from last year's first annual. A very large crowd of spectators were on scene to cheer on the plungers! Thanks to my wife Carol and her dad Bob for being there to cheer me on. The sun also made an appearance however, I don't think it warmed the water up too much :)

Hi folks, I couldn't be any more excited to join the HASAR team for their 2nd annual polar plunge!
Last year was so amazing!
8:00 am on new years day, daylight just breaking, a light snowfall and yes is was a bit daunting.
The team led us out over the typical mountains of snow and ice and there they were, 2 of the team were up to their chest in survival gear with a nice size hole cut into the ice ready for us crazy canucks!

This year its at 10:00 AM but I can't help but think the water will be just as cold at that time:)

Help me help them and offer a pledge and I promise to stay in for 1 minute!

Let's support the amazing Huron and Area Search and Rescue team and the Alzheimers society and see if we can help them reach their goals.

The team at Straight Line Collision couldn't be prouder of Joe's recent accomplishment! Joe was chosen to represent Fanshawe college at the skills competition in Toronto where he stood tall at the center of the podium bringing back the gold!
Joe takes great pride in his work and we are so happy he chose to give the auto body trade a go.
During his co-op in grade 12 when all the other student were at home through covid, Joe elected to drive to work and be there for us when he easily could of done nothing but stay at home. A true testament for his character.
When you look at him in the right light you will see that golden glow!
A great person and a huge part of our team.
He is bound for nationals skills competition in a couple weeks in Manitoba! We are so excited for him.

Hello Friends of Straight Line Collision!Well guess who found her way to the bustling town of Centralia today?Yes it was Cassie,our winner of the draw we had in August!All her friends and family should be keeping an eye on when she hands the certificate to Dan or Bill up in Hensall as she will be getting the most delicious chicken anywhere on us!
We would like to wish all our customers a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year!All the best in 2017!

Thought we better share our thoughts before another month slips away!You can see sitting in front of the computer isnt my thing!We spent a couple of weeks out East to celebrate our 25th anniversary of Straight Line Collision and had an amazing time.I would like to share my thoughts concerning what to do if in an accident.Collect all the information you can,including vehicle,driver,and insurance information.Photos if possible at the scene documents date ,time,and location of the accident.I share these thoughts from many of my customers through their experiences.Quite often the police wont respond to a fender bender with no injury so be prepared as you can in case it becomes an insurance claim.No one wants to have to claim fault where they were clearly in the right,but the next day the stories in many cases seem to change.We hope that you never need to worry about this but in the event that it does happen,hopefully this is helpful.Stay calm and be sure to only leave vehicle when its completely safe to do so!Stay safe and enjoy this very beautiful time of year! Stay focused and leave the cell phones alone!Put them in the trunk if you have to!They have become a very dangerous distraction!

With August slippng by so fast were getting very excited about our upcoming 25th Anniversary!We started 25 years ago this first of September!Alot has happened since that opening day seemingly so long ago!Many changes have come to the trade and were proud to say we have stayed in tune and up to date to meet all the challenges.Change is constant and we have the kept our team updated in all necessary training to meet your every day needs.This trade has become exciting as we see all the new developments and expect many more.We will be here to serve our customers for many more to come.

Well you can tell sitting in front of the computer isnt what happens at Straight Line collision!Thought we would take a moment and wish everyone a very fun and safe long weekend!Is it safe to say summers half gone?Ok we'll let it go! We have decided we are going to do the draw for the gift certificate sometime in the next few days and will let everyone know come Tuesday who our lucky winner is going to be.We are now at 133.00 $ and who knows,a couple more days can make a difference.Stay tuned and have a great weekend!
