What Is a Stress Crack? 🚗

Not every windshield crack is caused by a rock impact. In rare cases, a windshield can develop a stress crack due to a manufacturing defect in the glass

Unlike an impact crack, a stress crack typically has no visible point of impact and may appear days or even weeks after the windshield has been installed

That’s one of the reasons we provide a 3-month warranty against manufacturing defects on every windshield replacement. If a stress crack develops during the warranty period, we’ll inspect the windshield to determine whether it’s related to a manufacturing defect
