I’m summary, all 4 strut/shock towers had to be restored. Everything in the back was finished in PPG epoxy, Seam sealed and undercoated. Now to just put it back together and the owners will take it to get it all refinished.

Progress on the GTR. Fixing someone’s else’s mistakes is always a challenge and full of surprises as you found out last post.
Our game plan so far has been making pulls by getting length back in the car which have been made. We proceed to cut out the wheel well and dry fit it. It lined up very well so we proceeded with the whole rear frame section on the passenger side rear. Whatever panel we cut we proceed to dry fit after to make sure everything fits and not getting to far ahead of ourselves. When we line up the quarter panel we notice there have been door adjustments made so we will have to line up the door prior to welding and try the fender on to make sure everything is perfect before welding. Slowly but surely. Stay tuned!

Patched up another Tacoma. All pieces fabricated in house.
2nd generation Tacomas 2005-2015 have common rust issues in the front of the frame. Gravel guarded twice using the best materials and finalized with cavity wax in all the areas we have welded to.

We’ve got a trunk, floor, quarter panel and It’s a good thing we got the back body panel. The existing back body panel, when being previously repaired you can see they still left some crumpled metal, joined together with not the nicest of welds and covered up with body work. It’s a good thing it’s in our hands!
