Come out and support a great cause! RMM is hosting this amazing event to support those affected by the Canada Day tornado.

I’ll be offering ride-alongs in our RMM instructor cars; the mid-engine C8 Corvette and ZL1 Camero, and Turn 17’s Mustangs.

I know I’ve talked to many of you about getting out to RMM - this would be a great way to experience the track and provide support for those who need it.

Leanne and I will be there all day, hope to see you there! See below for details

❗️SPECIAL RMM PUBLIC EVENT ALERT❗️

To support those affected by the Canada Day weather events in Mountain View County, RMM, our membership group, and select partners are inviting the public to a Food and Fast Cars Ride-along Lapping and Community Event at the Rocky Mountain Motorsports Circuit!

RMM TORNADO RELIEF FUNDRAISER
Saturday, July 22nd
10am – 3pm
RMM Race Circuit

It’s a action-packed family friendly day of community support at RMM.

For on-track action, make a donation and ride sh***un in some of the fastest sportscars and exotic supercars in Alberta! You won’t want to miss this opportunity to take a ride in these high-performance machines, driven how they were designed to be driven.

Off-track, participate in our 50/50 draw and silent auction. We’ll also have a BBQ roasting up some $5 smokies, with chips and drinks, all in the name of a great cause.

All proceeds of this event will go directly to the Carstairs and Didsbury Tornado Relief Fund, and support those impacted by the tornado and assist as residents begin to repair the damage sustained in the storm.

Don’t miss it! Click the link below for full details!
See you there!

Just a heads up about new rules….

🚓🚑🚒 The Government of Alberta announces changes to passing emergency and road service vehicles.

As of Wednesday, March 1, 2023, there will be new legislation for Alberta motorists travelling on multi-lane and single-lane highways and roadways across the province.

The change comes as part of the Government of Alberta’s Traffic Safety Amendment Act, which was passed last year to strengthen safety measures and protect all first responders and roadside workers on Alberta’s roadways.

🚨 NEW RULES:
When an emergency vehicle, tow truck, or road service vehicle, including a snowplow, is stopped with flashing lights activated, motorists are required to:

🟡 Slow down to 60 km/h or the posted speed limit, whichever is lower, in all lanes travelling in the same direction on multi-lane highways and roadways
🟡 Slow down to 60 km/h or the posted speed limit, whichever is lower, when travelling in either direction on single-lane highways and roadways

🚨 FINES:
Fines for speeding while passing an emergency vehicle or road service vehicle stopped on the side of the road with flashing lights activated are doubled, and can range from $136 to $991, depending on speed.

A mandatory court appearance is required for any motorist travelling more than 50km/h over the speed limit.

Busy, emotional, yet fun weekend. Today is the 3rd anniversary of Mom’s passing. I had a CPO rehearsal this morning and a show tonight.

Up early tomorrow morning to teach at the race track during the day and then another CPO show at night. Sunday is the 26th anniversary of Dad’s passing.

What a weekend to be doing two things my parents would have loved.

Had an absolute blast at Strawberry Creek Raceway today!!
