After a big dump of snow, most of the “breakdowns” we get called to aren’t major issues — they’re small things that snow messes with. Quick checks like these save a lot of tows:

When snow packs inside the rim, your car shakes or feels like a flat. It’s super common. Knock the snow and ice out before assuming the tire’s done.
• Frozen parking brake
If the e-brake feels stuck after sitting in slush overnight, don’t force it. That’s how cables snap — and that is a real tow. Let it thaw or switch to Park only until it loosens up.
