The Alberta RCMP continue to search for Elijah Blake Strawberry, a suspect in a shooting that killed a Rocky View County employee in August.
A team of trained investigators has been employed whose “sole purpose is to locate and safely arrest this suspect,” police said.
Following leads, teams searched several locations without success.
Officers are confident Strawberry remains in Alberta, and remind Albertans to remain vigilant as the suspect is believed to be armed and dangerous.
The RCMP is extending the deadline for a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the 28-year-old.
Strawberry is described as six feet one inch tall and approximately 169 pounds. He has brown hair and a light complexion.
He has several tattoos. The most recognizable of these include “Trust” on left hand, “Honour and Loyalty” on right hand, X’s and cobwebs on the right side of his forehead, and geometric lines on the left side of his neck and face that extend onto his forehead.
The fatal incident took place Aug. 6, when Rocky View County employee Colin Hough was shot and killed by two suspects while working two kilometres north of Chestermere. A FortisAlberta Inc. employee working in the area was also shot and sustained minor injuries. Stawberry’s alleged accomplice, 35-year-old Arthur Wayne Penner, was arrested Aug. 11.
Anyone with information regarding Strawberry is asked to communicate that information immediately to the Strathmore RCMP at 403-934-3535 or call 911. Do not approach the suspect.
