Our Senior Executive Assistant Jodi has over a decade’s worth of experience with The Enfield Group and is our go-to for help in the office. Need help with something admin related? Just ask Jodi! Can’t find a file? Just ask Jodi! She’s one of the most loved and valuable members of the Enfield team, so it came as no surprise to us when she hit the headlines for a random act of kindness.

On Jan 17, the region received its first substantial snow fall. The community was out there shovelling—Jodi too—but it wasn’t her driveway she was clearing. A neighbour’s vehicle had got stuck and he’d suffered a heart attack while trying to free his vehicle. Firefighters responded quickly, but their truck became stranded while trying to reach him! Jodi was quick to get out there with a shovel, helping to dig it out.

The snow was so deep that day, a sled from the fire truck was used to transport the neighbour to a waiting ambulance. We’re happy to report Jodi’s neighbour is now at home recovering.

This is only one example of how Jodi saves the day—there have been many others!

We are celebrating Employee Appreciation Day all month!

By day, she is at a computer keyboard and three nights a week our Accounts Payable Manager, Jennifer Lockman, plays the ivories of a grand piano for diners at the prestigious Langdon Hall in Cambridge.

Jennifer has played piano for most of her life, beginning with classical schooling and then becoming self-taught. She attended McMaster University to study music, has taught piano, been a studio musician, and performed publicly for over 10 years!

In the office, Jennifer says the biggest challenge is staying organized and keeping track of her workload. “It’s like a 2000-piece puzzle,” Jennifer says. “It’s difficult and challenging, but very satisfying to complete.”
