For the tech types, we ran two identical engines for a few weeks. One with conventional oil and one with synthetic oil. Here are the lab results showing how many parts per million of various metals are in the oil. Higher ppm means higher wear. We ran this test several times and switched engines, always with similar results

You need to have your car's fuel injectors cleaned periodically. Newer, lower mileage cars warrant less frequent injector cleaning than older, higher mileage ones.
