This 1989 Toyota MR2 came to us because the owner saw one of our previous rust repair videos on Instagram.

When we inspected the car, we found the driver-side floor had rusted through and left a hole.

The damaged section was cut out, new metal was fabricated and welded in, and the area was rust-proofed to help protect it moving forward.

That’s exactly why we share these repairs. Sometimes one video helps the next person realize their vehicle can be saved too.

Kaitlyn gave him a proper introduction… but Zeus had one very important message before we wrapped:

Six years ago, this BMW first came to AutoTech for a full colour change. Since then, the owner has brought it back every year for touch-ups and to keep it looking fresh.

Unfortunately, this time it came back for a very different reason after rear-ending another vehicle.

Because of the age and value of the BMW, going through insurance could have resulted in the vehicle being written off. The customer wasn’t ready to give up on a car they’ve owned and maintained for years, so they decided to repair it out of pocket instead.

Now it’s up to us to bring this BMW back once again. 🔧🚗
