🚨 CAN’T SEE THE TRAFFIC? DON’T TURN.

If a truck is blocking your view, your front bumper can enter the lane before you even see the approaching car.

Wait for a clear view or the amber light.
Check pedestrians, mirrors, blind spots & emergency vehicles.

Your safety comes before someone honking behind you.

Stopping here would’ve been a FAIL. 🚫

Garbage truck blocking the right turn in a school zone — and a pedestrian crossing right in front of us.

Most drivers would creep forward and block the crossing. We waited. That’s the move: never stop ON a crossing, even when traffic is pressuring you to go.

Your examiner notices the patient drivers. 👀

Your traffic light means NOTHING right now. 🚦❌

Lights out, amber flashing, and a cop directing traffic — most drivers freeze or guess wrong.

Here’s the rule: flashing amber = slow down and yield, but the officer’s hand signal overrides everything.

Palm toward you = stop.
Waving = go.
Watch his hands, not the light.

This is why you should always stay aware of your surroundings—not just what’s happening in front of you.

👀 Check your mirrors regularly
🚗 Know what’s happening beside and behind you
⚠️ Don’t assume stopped traffic means you’re completely safe

A few seconds of awareness can make a big difference.

They waved you through… but should you actually GO? 👀🚗

At a 2-way stop, don’t assume another driver’s hand signal means it’s automatically safe to move.

🛑 Come to a complete stop
👀 Check for traffic and pedestrians
➡️ Understand who has the right of way
✋ Even if someone waves you through, make sure it’s actually safe
🚗 If another vehicle is approaching, wait until you’re confident it’s safe

Especially during a driving test, your safety comes first.

🚨 Nervous about your driving test? Remember these 5 things. 👇

1) YOU’RE ALLOWED TO MAKE MINOR MISTAKES
One small mistake doesn’t automatically mean you’ve failed. Stay focused and keep driving safely.

2) TAKE A BREATH BEFORE YOU START
Before putting the car in gear, take a moment to breathe, relax and get your mind focused.

3) DRIVE LIKE YOUR INSTRUCTOR IS SITTING BESIDE YOU
Don’t change your driving style because there’s an examiner in the passenger seat. Do what you’ve been practicing.

4) IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG, DON’T DWELL ON IT
You can’t change what just happened. Reset your mind, focus on the road ahead and keep going.

5) KNOW YOUR TEST ROUTES & COMMON CHALLENGES
Practice the areas around your test centre so you can focus on making safe decisions—not figuring out where you are.

This hydrant fails 90% of students on Orangeville G2 Route.

Even with perfect uphill parking, stopping within 3m = AUTOMATIC FAIL.
