FEATURE FRIDAY – HOW TO MAKE YOUR MECHANIC’S DAY
Want to instantly become your mechanic’s favourite customer?
Leave your wheel lock key in the cup holder.
Seriously.
This little gadget is required for tire rotations, brake jobs, flat repairs, suspension work, and just about anything that involves removing a wheel.
What many people don’t realize is that there isn’t a universal master set we can buy. Your wheel lock key is matched to the locks on your vehicle.
After 20+ years in the automotive industry, we’ve become experts at finding these things. We’ve found them in glove boxes, center consoles, under seats, in spare tire compartments, tool kits, and countless other hiding spots.
Some of the items we’ve had to move to find them have been a little on the adult side, and we’ve even come across a few substances that would probably get this post removed if we listed them.
So if your vehicle is coming in for service, save your mechanic the scavenger hunt and leave the wheel lock key in the cup holder.
We’ll find it immediately.
We’ll silently appreciate you.
And your vehicle will get into the shop that much faster.
Adventure begins where the pavement ends.
