Today, the Boyer Eastern Division comes together for the second consecutive year in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and the message that Every Child Matters.
Our six participating dealerships, Bay Mazda, Bay Subaru, Belleville Nissan, Belleville Volkswagen, Boyer Kia and Peter Boyer GM Napanee, are united in recognizing this important day.
Team members across all six dealerships came together wearing orange as we remember and honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, their families and their communities.
As part of this year’s initiative, we were pleased to welcome Megan Lallier, Program Manager at Red Cedars Shelter, who joined us as we visited each of our six dealerships. At each location, each General Manager presented Megan with a $500 cheque for Red Cedars Shelter, representing a combined contribution of $3,000 from the Boyer Eastern Division.
Red Cedars Shelter is located on Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, and we are grateful for the relationships we have built with Indigenous customers and communities throughout our region. We recognize that reconciliation involves continuing to listen, learn and show our support.
We thank Megan and Red Cedars Shelter for joining us and for allowing us to once again support the important work they do in our community.
