Thanks to everyone who was able to donate. It's a struggle for the Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward to maintain the critical essentials they require in order to give the best care to all the animals.

Wow, just WOW! You are an absolutely AMAZING community and your shelter animals cannot thank you all enough for the phenomenal turn out of the first annual Best Friends FUR-Ever Calendar Contest presented by West City Honda! You came together to blow our goal of $15,000 out of the water, and raised over $20,000. With the extremely generous match of $15,000 from Tony Martin & Ralph Johnston, that puts this contest over $35,000 raised for the everyday essentials animals of your community need to help them get their second chance at a forever home.
With the contest officially closed, we are proud to showcase this years winner, and stunning cover model of the 2027 calendar, Nina! Nina is a majestic 7-year-old Cane Corso with the heart of a mountain goat, the appetite of a cheese connoisseur, and a personality far bigger than she realizes.
When she’s not scaling the back of the couch to claim the highest possible vantage point, you’ll likely find her conducting a very serious inspection of the fridge, especially if cheese is involved.
Nina may look strong and regal, but behind that fierce Cane Corso exterior is a lovable, wonderfully goofy girl who keeps her family laughing every single day.
As we prepare to get the winners their photo's and create the 2027 calendar, we will be sharing all 13 winners of his years contest, starting right here with Nina.
