🚨 SLOW DOWN. MOVE OVER. STOP! 🚨
A recent RCMP enforcement initiative in Nova Scotia found that while more drivers are moving over for emergency and roadside vehicles, many are forgetting the second important part:
You MUST slow down and stop.
🚓 Police
🚑 Paramedics
🚒 Firefighters
You MUST slow down.
🛻 Tow truck operators
👷 Roadside workers
These people are often working only a few feet away from moving traffic.
When you see flashing lights behind or ahead:
👉 Slow down.
👉 Move over when it’s safe.
👉 Give roadside workers the space they need.
Moving over creates distance. Slowing down gives you time to react.
