Join us in beautiful Baddeck for the inaugural Sprint Duathlon this summer on June 17th, 2017. Located on the scenic Cabot Trail, a top tourist destination on Cape Breton Island! There is so much to experience here on Cape Breton Island and Baddeck is the ideal starting point! Baddeck is a lovely seaside community with lot's of restaurants and hotels, places to swim, hiking trails, two golf course
s, trips on the famous Amoeba sailboat and much more. The race is open to individual athletes and teams of 2-3. The first run leg will be a 5km out and back from transition on a gravel road. The bike leg will be around the beautiful Big Baddeck loop. The 23km loop features rolling hills on great pavement along farm land and across rivers, showcasing some of the best rural Cape Breton has to offer. The third and final leg is a 2.5km out and back run on the same gravel road as the first leg. (http://www.cbisland.com/)

This event is sanctioned by Triathlon Nova Scotia, therefore you, the registered participant, and the event Race Director are covered by insurance. Participants are required to buy a 1-day Triathlon Nova Scotia license. This event is part of the TNS race point series for 2017.
