Highway Western Star is a local Family owned and operated Western Star (Daimler) dealership responsible for Western Star, Fuso, Detroit and Cummins product lines. Currently, we are seeking energetic and motivated individual to join our dedicated team in our Ayr Location in the position of Service Foreman.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly energetic and eager individual to work within a supportive team within a continuously growing dealership that has maintained staff levels during these unprecedented economic times with no layoffs or closures.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the day-to-day activities of the service repair department, including managing, coaching, and training of assigned staff.
· Ensure high quality of conduct and workmanship from Technicians and Apprentices.
· Monitor quality control by spot-checking repairs, either in the shop or during road tests.
· Ensure that customer service needs are met.
Requirements
•Excellent verbal & written communication skills, computer skills, and attention to detail.
•Strong customer service skills.
•Strong technical skills.
•Effectively train and motivate staff.
•Licensed heavy truck technician
•Detroit and Daimler training an asset
•Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose
Compensation:
•Higher than industry standard rate of pay plus monthly bonus subject to department performance
