For a recent Friday lunch at Tires On The Run, we went back to 3B's - Benny , Bowl & Breakfast, always a hit with our team!
The fries are just right - great crunchy texture, but not tough…
We had a variety of dishes - the Burger In Law was a popular one, plus a Crispy Chicken Sandwich, a Crust The Crave, a Beef Of The Ocean (wow!), and a Catch Me If You Can.

We loved it, and you should try them out!

Then, to top off a great meal, we had Angela make us a terrific Cinnamon Bun Cake!

Friday lunch extravaganza at Tires On The Run!
We're behind on these posts, but we have been eating very well every Friday without exception.
Yesterday's winning meal came from Rice For King, in the Kingsview Market.

The Vietnamese subs were a hit all around. Everyone at Tires On The Run ended up ordering the same thing — crusty baguette, well-seasoned meat, blended with pickled carrot and cilantro - You just need to try it, they are suberb!

Rice For King is a locally owned family business 😊

Then, Ang… Mrs. Tires On The Run, treated us all to a wonderful Berry Cheesecake - Carter and Justin's response to their first bites were "Oh my" and “Duuude…” 🤣

For our Fabulous Friday Lunch at Tires On The Run this week, we tried something new:
🌶️ Saucy Shawn's Fine Eats!

Wow… These were no ordinary Beef On A Bun sandwiches. They were honestly the best any of us have ever had.
No kidding. No exaggeration. Just outstanding food.
His beef was smoked for SEVEN HOURS, and marinated overnight - Extra work, but it shows!

We started doing these Friday Lunch posts during Covid to help support local, independently owned businesses, and it's become one of our favourite traditions.
Shawn is the real deal… He genuinely cares about quality food, generous portions, and making sure people are happy. He may not call himself a "fancy" caterer, but trust us… he doesn't need to.

🏕️ 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐑𝐕 𝐓𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝟖𝟎% 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐑𝐮𝐢𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲

We chase RV blowouts all summer long - the biggest mistake we see is when RV owners are looking at tread depth and assuming their RV or trailer tires are safe.

The problem? Many RVs and trailers don't accumulate a lot of mileage, so the tread often looks almost new… while the tire itself is becoming unsafe.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐮𝐛𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬, 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐲.

Watch for:

• Cracking near the rim
• Cracking in the sidewall
• Cracks between the tread blocks
• Signs of weather checking or dry rot

As a general rule, most RV and trailer tires should be replaced at around 6 years of age, regardless of how much tread remains.

Also, not all trailer tires are created equal. Unfortunately, we've seen some very inexpensive tires deteriorate quickly, sometimes within the first year. In our experience, CastleRock tires seem particularly susceptible to sidewall cracking.

A blowout can damage wheel wells, body panels, wiring, plumbing, and quickly turn a relaxing camping trip into a very expensive day sitting on the side of the highway.
