Following are the types of spark plug according to the electrode:
1. Single Electrode
A single-electrode spark plug is a conventional spark plug with a single ground electrode that covers the center electrode. The ground electrode has a long overhang length, which results in a limited gap width.
2. Double Electrode
A double-electrode spark plug has two electrodes, and the spark jumps between them, distributing wear and extending the plug's service life.
3. Triple Electrode
A triple-electrode spark plug has three ground electrodes that the spark jumps between, which helps distribute wear and extend the service life of the spark plug.
4. Quadruple Electrode
A quadruple electrode spark plug is a spark plug with four ground electrodes that surround a central electrode. The spark plug's design is one of several variations that aim to improve ignition and extend the life of the spark plug.
