Meet the Team!

Meet Keith Chief Isaacs “Kgosi”! Originally from Francistown, Kgosi has been part of Kalahari Tours for the past nine months as our upholsterer.Kgosi also goes on Safari and helps out as a camp assistant in peak season when we are busy!

From sewing roofs onto our vehicles to making tents from scratch and handling all kinds of canvas work, Kgosi takes care of a wide range of jobs. Since he joined the team, he’s been a real game changer when it comes to getting urgent jobs done quickly in-house — jobs we previously had to send in and wait for weeks to get done .

Kgosi enjoys the teamwork at Kalahari Tours and describes himself as hardworking. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, and his favourite animal is the lion, especially when he gets to watch them hunt.

One safari memory that has stuck with him is having lions right in the campsite! And if you meet Kgosi, you’ll probably notice his biggest fun fact pretty quickly: he’s always smiling.

Meet THABO “TJAY” JOROWE ,the man behind the wheel and our one and only heavy-duty truck driver at Kalahari Tours!

Originally from Francistown, Tjay is no stranger to the team. Having worked with us before, he’s back in the Kalahari Tours family and has been back with us for nine months.

As our sole heavy-duty truck driver, Tjay transports the equipment needed for our luxury safaris. But his role doesn’t stop at driving! He also joins the team as a camp assistant, helping with camp operations and making sure everything is in place out in the bush.

So, what keeps him enjoying life on the road?

“I meet a lot of different people from different continents and also enjoy travelling to different places in the tourism area as I do safaris.” 🌍

Clearly, Tjay enjoys a job that takes him beyond the usual daily routine. Meeting people from around the world and discovering different places are all part of the experience. And when he’s not working, you’ll probably find him with a good book in hand or enjoying a game of football.

From long drives to camp duties, Tjay brings his own personality to the team, and we’re happy to have him back!

The wildlife might get the photos, but there’s a whole lot more to a safari than what’s in front of the camera. It’s waking to birdsong and cool morning air, following dusty tracks through wide-open landscapes, and returning to camp as the day softens into golden light. It’s the crackle of the fire, the stories shared beneath the night sky and the unexpected moments that stay with you long after you’ve gone home.

Introducing for the month of September our employee of the month Letsogile “Lets” Petros.Lets has been a steady presence behind the scenes this season, working closely with our camping crews to keep everything running smoothly. From helping coordinate orders and handling shopping runs to keeping supplies stocked for both our luxury and budget tented Safaris , he’s always there where he’s needed.
Because of his reliable day-to-day support and coordination, our camping operations wrapped up the season with minimal logistical problems and plenty of great guest feedback on both the food and service.
To recognize his hard work and everyday help, Lets will also be receiving a cash bonus this month.
