We Are Electric! ⚡

The Pangolin Voyager is redefining life on the Chobe River with a cleaner, quieter way to explore one of Africa’s greatest wildlife destinations.

Our houseboat is powered almost entirely by electricity, including the engines. The roof supports a solar array capable of generating all the power needed to run the vessel.

The result? Peaceful cruising, reduced environmental impact, and an even more immersive wildlife experience.

The only gas we use is for cooking and heating water, ensuring guests can enjoy delicious meals and piping hot showers 24 hours a day.

Good for the river. Good for the wildlife. Great for our guests.

Life aboard the Pangolin Voyager is all about slowing down and soaking up the beauty of the Chobe River.

The upper deck is home to our spacious lounge area. Large glass sliding doors frame ever-changing river views, whether you’re relaxing in the lounge or curled up with a book in the cosy reading nook.

Wildlife. Photography. Good company. And plenty of space to enjoy it all.

Adjacent to the lounge on the upper deck of the Pangolin Voyager, this air-conditioned and darkened space is where the magic continues after the safari.

Here, guests can download, review, and process the incredible images captured out on the Chobe River, all while learning new techniques and refining their photographic skills.

During our hosted photo safaris, the Editing Suite also becomes a creative hub where Pangolin Photo Hosts hold editing tutorials, presentations, and image reviews designed to help guests get the very best from their photography.

Because at Pangolin, the experience is not just about taking photographs, it’s about growing as a photographer too.
