Flood damaged cars: What to do?

1) Disconnect the Battery
2) Remove the spark plugs and drain the oil.
3) Put cheap oil in the engine, remove water from the combustion chambers, put 20 ml in each combustion chamber, without the spark plugs, even Q20 is fine.
4) Drain gearbox oil, and put cheap gearbox oil.
5) Remove Computer Box and other main components and dry them
6) Turn the engine over by hand a few times without it's spark plugs, the oil inside the combustion chambers will prevent rust.
7) Try to start the vehicle after a few days.
8) If it starts, do not drive, get the vehicle up to temperature a few times.
9) Drain the cheap oils, and do one more oil cycle.
10) After you are satisfied, put manufacturer recommended oil.

Not: Turbo charged vehicles, the intercooler may take in lots of water so drain that also. 4x4 don't forget the diff oils.
